The Anthology Global Renewals team is focused on partnering with our internal field teams and our strategic partners to secure long-term relationships with our customers with a focus on improving our customer’s experiences with Anthology and expanding on the broad range of innovative products/services which will deliver continuous improvement in their learning ecosystem. The Team Lead on the Renewals team will report into a Senior Renewals Leader in the Customer Success function and provide leadership support for the global team.
Primary responsibilities will include:
- Directly managing a team
- Executing renewal process improvements
- Achieving company financial targets
- Implementing renewal playbooks to ensure execution of the larger Anthology strategies
- Establishing, documenting, and monitoring compliance with best practices for all internal processes including (but not limited to): Opportunity Management, Data Quality and accuracy, Quotes and Forecasting
- Accurately maintaining/updating a rolling 120-day forecast of a team and communicating any renewal risk to internal resources for resolution strategies
- Working collaboratively with the internal account management, customer success, and channel sales teams to develop and maximize contract value
- Ensuring quality of workflows to ensure timely processing of renewal contracts
- Implementing system automation strategies to improve overall renewal experience
- Working with teams to uncover roadblocks or risks and demonstrating strong commercial capabilities to drive renewals to on-time closure
- Using internal sales management and quoting tools successfully
- Mentoring and providing support for a team of direct report Customer Renewal Specialists
- Monitoring and driving all performance goals
- This role may require occasional travel
The Candidate:
Required skills/qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience working in a Renewals or Account Management supervisory role at a SaaS technology company
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in renewals, customer success or account management in an enterprise/solution and/or technical sales environment with 2-3 years in a leadership role
- Strong internal and external relationship building skills
- Demonstrated proficiency with Salesforce and MS Excel
- Ability to navigate complex contracting/negotiation reviews
- Advanced problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to effectively prioritize and escalate customer issues as required
- Past success in operating within a fast-paced, multi-disciplined virtual team
- Excellent organizational, oral, written, and presentation skills
- Fluency in written and spoken English
Preferred skills/qualifications:
- Knowledge of education technology offerings and procurement processes
- Experience in a position with a focus on retention
- Familiarity with forecasting and predictive renewal risk methodologies
- Experience managing team workload through a queue prioritization with SLA expectations
Pay range is $69,700 - $85,000/year depending upon experience. We use national and industry-specific survey data to assist in determining compensation. Additionally, we consider factors such as external market rate, budget for the role, and the compensation rates of current employees performing the same function. Some roles will have variable pay.
